Riley

Hi, I’m Riley!  I’m a sweet and happy 1½ year old boy – I sit and wag my tail non-stop when I see a friend!   I’m playful, I love toys, and I’m great at the game of fetch!  I’ll bring the toy right back to you and happily wait for the next throw.  I’m also a quick learner, and I’ve already mastered sit and stay.  I love to hang out with my friends at the shelter, especially when they give me pets and kisses.  On top of that, I’ve been told that I’m very handsome.  Please come to BARCS to meet me today!

Update 11/6:  Good news – Riley was adopted yesterday!  Congrats Riley!

CJCJ

Hi, I’m CJ, a 1½ year old boy that just loves to run and play!  Even when I’m in my kennel I have a toy in my mouth, hoping someone will stop by to play with me.  Tug and fetching tennis balls are my favorite games, and I’d love to have a human of my own to play with!  I also love to play with my doggie friends here at the shelter.  I’m not just a handsome face – I’m also smart and already know “Sit.”  Please come meet me at BARCS and let me show you what a fun guy I am!

Jacob1Jacob

Hi, I’m Jacob!  I’m a 1½ year old bundle of love and affection who knows sit and stay – especially if you’re about to give me a treat! I love to run around in the play yard and to chase balls.   I’m also very dog-friendly!  In fact, I try to greet and kiss all the dogs through their kennels as I walk down the hall to go outside, hee hee!  I have lots of energy, but at the same time, know how to cuddle up to you and look too cute for words (which gets me another treat, right??).  I’d love a new parent or family who wants to take long walks and loves to work out. Come visit me soon!

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
