OnyxOnyx

Hey there! I’m Onyx, and if you notice my greying muzzle, you’d think I was an older gentleman…but actually, I’m trying out the George Clooney look and I’m a mature 5-years old. I’m so excited to go outside that sometimes I seem a little goofy in my kennel. But once I’m outside, I am so calm and appreciative to get attention and smell the fresh air. I loved posing for photos for treats and I was so well behaved that they even put glasses on me! Obviously, they fell for the Clooney vibe. Come down to BARCS and ask to meet me outside! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

BaxterBaxter

Hi, I’m 4 year old Baxter. Have you ever seen such a handsome and unique looking fellow? When I first came to the shelter, I was afraid and not very confident. I’ve learned a lot since arriving here and have made lots of new friends, and now I’m looking for my very own family. I’m a shy guy, and I’m looking for a home that has time to help me experience new things and continue to build on my growing confidence. Please check out my video (https://youtu.be/ALLbPFgeEzg) , and come down to BARCS today to meet me!

BulbosaurBulbasaur

Hi, I’m 8 year old Bulbasaur! I’m the definition of a gentle giant. I’m a large fellow but am calm and mild-mannered. I enjoy going on walks and get excited to smell and see new things. I don’t mind wearing a silly hat for the sake of fun (as you can see in my photos) because I want to make people happy. Don’t let my size intimidate you! I’m a big chunk of love! Please come down and visit me at BARCS!

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact info@baltimoreanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
