Hi, my name is Anthony! I’m just a 2 year old boy, but I already have wonderful manners. I’m great on a leash, so the volunteers love to take me for walks. Sometimes they’ll even sit with me in the grass and give me snuggles and scratches – I love that! I make cute little snorting noises when I’m happy, and I make everyone giggle. I’m quite a sweetheart, and I’m very gentle. I also love to play with the other dogs here – check out my online video! I can’t wait to find my forever family – please come to BARCS and meet me today!

Hi, my name is Darius. If you visit me you will see that I’m a favorite – my kennel card is covered in affections from volunteers – “very sweet, perfect snuggler, friendly pup, this dog is awesome.” I’m a very good 1½ year old boy that’s easy-going and great on leash walks. Despite my size, I am very gentle and will set my big paws on your arms to say hello and give kisses. I’ve met some dogs here, and I was friendly and responded well to corrections. I’m just a handsome, easy going guy looking for my forever home – please come to BARCS to meet me today!

Hi, my name is Cane. I’m an easy-going, 4 year old guy with a medium energy level – I even put up with this silly costume for my photo shoot! I’m a good boy inside, and really enjoy spending time outside going on walks or playing. I enjoy playing with the other dogs here at the shelter – check out my video! I used to live in a home; my previous owner could no longer care for me but told the folks at BARCS that I’m housebroken, sweet, and loved their grandchildren. I would love to have my very own home again. Please come to BARCS to meet me today!
Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations. If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230. For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi. BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm. Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.
For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org or visit the website. If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org. If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
