Jax1-1Jax

Hi, my name is Jax, and I’m a curious, bright-eyed, 1 ½ year old boy who loves to explore.  When it’s my turn for a walk I get so excited to go outside!   I really enjoy the great outdoors and exploring the grounds here – I’d love to be your new hiking partner.  I walk well on the leash and happily take direction from my human.  I also love to play with the other dogs here.  On top of all this I’m a total love bug – I’m only 37 pounds, so I’ll fit very nicely in your lap if you let me (hint hint)!  Please stop by BARCS to meet me today!

Roxy1Roxy

Hi, Roxy here!  I don’t want to brag, but I’m pretty awesome:  I am housebroken, I know sit, and I give some really great snuggles and hugs!  I’m 5 years old, and over all of those puppy shenanigans; I’m just ready to be your best friend!  Playing ball is one of my favorite things to do in between cuddles.  I just love treats and when the nice volunteers here tell me I am a good girl – it makes me really motivated to learn.  Please come to BARCS to meet me today!

Thomas1Thomas

Hi, I’m Thomas, nice to meet you!  I’m an exuberant, energetic boy just over a year old who would thrive in an active family!  The folks here at the shelter say that I’m super smart and would even do well with jobs around the house – fetch your paper, fetch your slippers, you know, that kind of dog!   I’m an avid learner and eager to please, so I just need a forever family to give me love, leadership, and direction.   I’m also a silly low-rider who loves to play, both with my human friends and the other dogs here at the shelter.   Please come meet me at BARCS today – I’m a fun loving, young boy that would make a wonderful addition to your family.

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
