Flipper5Flipper

Hi, I’m Flipper! I’m an affectionate 5 year old boy. I was found as a stray running in traffic, and I’m so grateful to be off the scary streets. Everyone at the shelter has been super-nice to me, and they tell me how sweet and happy I am. They may have even used the word handsome a few times, but I don’t want to brag! I am very gentle and easy on my leash, and I enjoy playing with the other dogs here. As much as I like it here, what I really want is a home of my own! Do you maybe have the home for me? If so, please come to BARCS to meet me so you can see how great I am!   http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Terrier-Pit-Bull-Mix-22165105

Lala3LaLa

Hi, I’m Lala! I’m an adorable 2 ½ year old girl. The folks here say that I’m such a darling! I’m a perfectly sized girl, ready for hugs and a “lean in” anytime. I’ll even sit in your lap if you let me! I love to run and play outside, and I smile the whole time. I have lots of great energy, and I know how to “sit” and “stay,” especially when a treat might be involved! Sometimes I get to play with the other dogs here, and it’s so much fun to run around and around with them! I’ve been waiting a long time for my forever home; please come to BARCS to meet me today!  http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Terrier-Pit-Bull-Mix-22197831

Ginger1Ginger

Ginger is a happy girl and a social butterfly!  She loves everyone she meets and has no problem showing them with her kisses.  Romping in the play yard with her doggie friends is one of her favorite things to do.  But she also likes to cuddle with her people, too.  Ginger is in her prime at 4 years old, with a zest for life, yet over all that puppy silliness. She recently when to a huge adoption event with large crowds and lots of dog and showed off her social skills.  If you’re looking for a companion to not only enjoy being active with you, but relax with you as well, Ginger is your girl!  http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Terrier-Pit-Bull-Mix-22292689

Adopting a shelter dog is truly saving a life. The shelters cannot save animals without support from the community in the form of adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donations.  If you would like to meet these pups, please visit the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS), located at 301 Stockholm St., Baltimore, MD. 21230.  For directions: http://goo.gl/maps/rndi.  BARCS is open to the public Monday through Friday 2pm-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.  Please visit their website at www.baltimoreanimalshelter.org to see these and other wonderful animals waiting hopefully for their forever homes.

For information about volunteering for BARCS, please contact Joe at JMiletti@barcsanimalshelter.org or visit the website.  If you are interested in fostering, please contact foster@baltimoreanimalshelter.org.  If you cannot adopt or foster the dogs but would like to help them on their quest to find a forever family, please share their story via social media or donate through the BARCS website.
